        <spm:hasContent>   H. paracasaliswas described from forest litter and compost at Potchefstroom. The smooth rounded epistome and long narrow genital shield with a single pair of setae place this species in Karg's (1979) subgenus  Hypoaspis( Holostaspis). This species is obviously rare and unlikely to be of any significance in regulating populations of  H. destructor.</spm:hasContent>
