Klimaszewski (1997) described †  Vicinilura repostafrom a single male from Dominican amber. He suggested that  Viciniluraresembles  EuphylluraFoerster, though not specifying how, and  LigustriniaLoginovain the head morphology. In the description, Klimaszewski (1996)mentions the lack of a meracanthus on the metacoxa. His description and drawing of the forewing suggest that there is no costal break developed. Based on the absence of a meracanthus and a costal break in the forewing, Burckhardt & Ouvrard (2012)synonymised †  Vicinilurawith  Leurolophusand transferred †  V. repostato the latter. The examination of the holotypeconfirmed that the species belongs to the Rhinocolinaebut showed that a costal break is present.
