Description of mature larva. COLORATION. Head pale brown maculate, posterior margin of epicranium dark. Dorsal side of body green with slightly white median stripe. HEAD. Head width 1.30 mm( 1.26–1.35 mm), head length 1.20 mm( 1.15–1.25 mm) ( Table. 1). Frontal sutures distinct, slender, anteriorly nearly indistinct. Anterior margin of clypeus distinctly concave ( Fig. 43) with weak pigmentation. Labrum dark brown; slender anterior margin with deep median excision, posterior margin with short and wide median projection ( Fig. 43). Mandibles with three sharp teeth apically ( Fig. 46). THORAX. Prothorax: prn1–10long, approximately of same length; prn8the shortest one. Both vpls2approximately of same length. Pedal lobe with five (three to six) setae ( pda); pda1–2long, pda2about 0.75 x pda1; remaining three (one to four) setae minute. Mstsminute. Meso- and metathorax: prsand pds1–4very long, approximately of same length, bases of setae broad enlarged more than remaining bases of setae; pds1–4not in line, pds2positioned anteriad to pds3. Both dlsshort, about 0.3 x prs; both ssshort as dls. Dplsand vplslonger than ss, about 1.4 x. Pedal lobe with five (three to six) setae ( pda); pda1–2long, pda2about 0.75 x pda1; remaining three (one to four) setae minute. Mstsminute. Abdominal segments I–VIII( Fig. 48): pds1, pds3and pds5approximately in line, pds2positioned anteriad to pds3and pds4anteriad to pds5; prsand pds1–5very long, pds2, pds4and pds5slightly shorter; bases of setae broad enlarged more than remaining bases of setae. Spsshort, about 0.3 x prs. Both dplslong as pds5. Vpls2long, vpls1very short. Lstsshort, mstsminute. Abdominal segment VII: pds2positioned more anteriad to pds3and pds4more anteriad to pds5; pds3the longest, pds2and pds4about 0.7 x. Abdominal segment VIII: pds2and pds4positioned more anteriad from line joining pds1and pds5than on abdominal segments I–VIII; pds3very long, pds2and pds4about 0.7 x. Dpls1slightly shorter than dpls2. Abdominal segment IX( Fig. 49): ds 2–4in line; ds1the longest, remaining three setae approximately of same length. Ps1long as 0.5 x ds2, ps2about 0.7 x ps1. Sts1very short, sts2minute.
Remarks. Dieckmann (1989)recorded only coloration of the body and setae; his data agree with that presented here.
