Springthorpe (WA 474).    Typelocality. Red Bluff, Kalbarri, Western Australia( 27°42'S 114°09'E).   Etymology.Named from Wittecarra Creek near Red Bluff, the typelocality.    Description.Based on holotype, male, 6.8 mm, AM P.79375.  Head.Eyes ovate; lateral cephalic lobe broad, truncated, anteroventral margin with notch/slit. Antenna 1longer than antenna 2; peduncular article 1 shorter than article 2, with 2 robust setae along posterior margin; article 2 longer than article 3; flagellum articles as long as broad; flagellum with 19 articles; accessory flagellum minute, with 3 articles. Antenna 2peduncular article 2 cone gland reaching at least to end of peduncular article 3; article 4 longer than article 5; flagellum with 7 articles. Lower lipouter lobes with two pair of ducts, mandibular lobes apically subacute. Mandibleaccessory setal row, well developed with 3 setae; molar well developed, triturative; mandibular palp reduced, 1-articulate; article 1 at least 3.5 times as long as broad.  Pereon. Gnathopod 1coxa anterior margin straight, anteroventral corner produced, rounded; carpus about twice as long as broad, subequal in length to propodus; propodus medial surface with comb, palm acute, convex, entire, defined by posterodistal corner, with 4 robust setae. Gnathopod 2subchelate; basis broad, anterodistal corner subquadrate; merus with rounded distoventral corner; carpus compressed, lobate, projecting between merus and propodus; propodusmassive, with sparse setal bunches along posterior margin, palmstraight, sculptured, about half length of propodus, subquadrate distomedial shelf, with 4 robust setae on shelf, palmar margin with 5 subacute teeth, palm defined by posteroventral tooth, without posterodistal robust setae, subpalmar surface with ridge; dactylus with posteroproximal shelf, apically subacute, closing along palm. Pereopod 4coxa posteroventral lobe well developed, with rounded posteromedial corner. Pereopods 5–7basis slightly expanded, posterior margin minutely castelloserrate, without long slender setae; merus and carpus not broadened; carpus and propodus without long, slender setae along posterior margin; propodus not expanded posterodistally; dactylar ungues simple.  Pereopods 5–6basis posterior margin straight, posteroventral corner broadly rounded. Pereopod 7basis posterior margin convex, posteroventral corner broadly rounded. Pereonite 7without carina.   FIGURE 19.  Hoho wittecarra  sp. nov.holotype, 6.8 mm, AM P.79855, Kalbarri, Western Australia.   Pleon. Pleonites 1–2bicarinte. Pleonite 3without carina. Epimera 1–2posteroventral corner with small acute tooth. Epimeron 3ventral margin smooth, posteroventral margin smooth, posteroventral corner with small acute tooth. Urosomite 1bicarinate, subtriangular. Urosomites 2–3without carina. Uropod 1peduncle with 1 basofacial seta; outer ramus slightly shorter than inner ramus. Uropod 2outer ramus slightly shorter than inner ramus. Uropod 3rami distally truncated, apical robust setae long; inner ramus long (length twice the breadth), subequal in length to outer ramus; outer ramus longer than peduncle.  Telsondeeply cleft, broader than long, tapering distally, with short inner and long outer apical cusps, apical conical extension reaching at least halfway along longest seta, each lobe with 2 long and 2 short apical robust setae.   Remarks.See remarks for  H. tricarinata  sp. nov.   Distribution.  Australia. Western Australia: Kalbarri (current study).
