(Urban) [136,686,1418,1445] Magnoliopsida Moraceae Ficus Plantae Rosales 5 249 Tracheophyta species umbonigera   Nomenclatural notes:— The protologue does not state the herbarium where the type of  F. umbonigerawas deposited. Berg & Villavicencio (2004)indicated Hart 2808( B) as the holotype; however, this cannot be considered a lectotypification because it occurred after 2001 and the sentence “designated here” or similar phrase was not used ( Turland et al.2018, Art. 7.11). We were unable to locate the collection at Berlin ( B). Here, we designate the collection of  Hart2808( US) as the lectotypebecause it contains a branch, leaves, stipules, and preserved syconia.  Taxonomical notes:—The currently accepted name for this taxon is  Ficus americanasubsp. guianensis.
