In Italy, it is widespread in the whole country (Siciliy and Sardinia included) ( Iorio et al. 2019, Massa et al. 2012).  Notes Mesophilic species with a wide ecological value. It lives from sea level up to higher elevations. It can be found among the tall grasses of the meadows, on bushes and on the crown of trees. It feeds on various insects and larvae and vegetarian nutrition is limited. Adults can be found in summer and autumn ( Massa et al. 2012).
