Taxonomy of the Panorpa issikiana species group, with descriptions of twenty new species (Mecoptera: Panorpidae) Wang, Ji-Shen Zhao, Can-Jun Acta Entomologica Musei Nationalis Pragae 2024 2024-06-15 64 1 79 106 63JDZ Linnaeus, 1758 Linnaeus 1758 [1035,1308,1574,1597] Insecta Panorpidae Panorpa Animalia Mecoptera 1 80 Arthropoda genus   Diagnosis.This group of species can be differentiated from other groups in the genus  Panorpaby the combination of the following characters: 1) body mostly black, rostrum with a dark brown stripe in the middle and yellowish brown on sides; 2) wing markings absent or extremely reduced; in males: 3) A7 greatly constricted and stalk-like at base; 4) median process of gonostyli absent; 5) parameres bifurcated; 6) aedeagus with dorsal processes greatly developed; 7) piston of sperm pump reduced; 8) aedeagus with hamulus present and sclerotized; and in females: 9) laterotergites IX greatly developed.   Distribution. China: Chongqing, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Yunnan( Fig. 212).
