TYPE: Grecce, Peloponnese, Laconia, mt. Taygetus pr. Anavryti, [ 37º06'N 22º17'E], 1 June 1902, C. Leonis123( lectotype, designated here, WU!; isolectotypes, B-10-0094730 image!, G-DC!, G-162753!, G-162750!, JE-5721 image!, M-152077!, WU!).  Basal leaves 10–13 cmlong, 4–5.5 cmwide (ratio basal leaf width / basal leaf length = 0.35–0.53), irregularly pinnatipartite (lobes 15–25 mmdeep), with a petiole 8–19 cmlong. Middle cauline leaves 7.5–12.5 cmlong, 3.2–4.2 cmwide (ratio middle leaf width / middle leaf length = 0.34–0.43), attenuated into a petiole 3.5–7.5 cmlong, irregularly pinnatipartite; upper cauline leaves 3.5–6.8 cmlong, 0.8–1.4 cmwide (ratio upper leaf width / upper leaf length = 0.17–0.29), sessile, rarely with a petiole up to 0.6 cm, pinnatipartite. Chromosome number: unknown.   Distribution and habitat: — Greece; habitat unknown; elevation of ca. 1000 m( Figure 19).  Phenology: —Flowering from May to June.   Discussion: —This taxon is only known from few localities in Atticaand Peloponnese. The subspecific epithet  barckhausiifolius, leaves of  Barckhausia, probably refers to the pinnatifid leaves that display several species of the genus  BarckhausiaCandollein Candolle & Lamarck (1815: 449), now treated as part of  Crepis Linnaeus (1753: 805).  Selected specimens examined.  GREECE.  Attica: ad radices mt.
