Wingspan 13.0–17.0 mm. Head greyish-brown, with coppercoloured metallic lustre. Antenna with scape greyish-brown to dark brown on dorsal surface, yellowish-white on ventral surface; flagellum alternately greyish-yellow and dark brown on dorsal surface, yellow on ventral surface. Labial palpus dorsally with long scales on distal two-thirds of second segment and on middle of third segment; second segment about twice length of diameter of eye, third segment about three-fifths length of second; brown to dark brown, tinged with pale yellow on ventral surface, and greyish-white on inner surface, third segment yellow apically. Thorax and tegula greyish-brown to brown, with copper-coloured metallic lustre; without hair pencil from anepisternum on mesothorax. Forewing with costal margin almost straight, termen truncate; ground colour greyish-brown to brown, scattered dark brown scales becoming denser distally, termen dark brown; black scale tufts at middle and end of cell as well as at middle of fold, the last one largest; narrow yellowish-brown fascia from costal six-sevenths length to before tornus, arched outward, sometimes faint; fringe greyish-brown except greyish-white basally. Hindwing and fringe grey. Fore- and midlegs greyish-brown on outer surface, yellowish-white on inner surface; hindleg with femur, distal two-fifths of tibia and tarsus greyish-brown, basal three-fifths of tibia and apex of tarsomeres yellowish-white on outer surface, femur greyish-white, tibia and tarsus yellowish-white on inner surface. Abdomen dark brown on dorsal surface, greyish-yellow to greyish-brown on ventral surface.  Male genitalia Uncus with a small triangular process on posterior margin, median width about threefifths of basal width; about one-quarter length of valva ( Figure 13F). Gnathos short, narrowed from base to rounded apex, slightly shorter than one-quarter length of valva; culcitula semioval. Valva with dorsal and ventral margins almost parallel, bluntly rounded at apex, longer than tegumen–uncus complex; ventral free lobe slightly arched, with sparse long setae. Vinculum with lobes projecting on inner margin, forming a right angle mesially, distal two-fifths abruptly narrowed. Saccus bluntly rounded anteriorly. Aedeagus with basal two-fifths dilated and slightly rounded, then narrowed gradually, slightly dilated apically. Eighth tergite nearly inverted trapeziform, rounded posteriorly ( Figure 10Q).  Female genitalia Anterior apophyses about one-third length of posterior apophyses ( Figure 15F). Antrum nearly rectangular, slightly sclerotized. Ductus bursae about twice length of anterior apophyses; basal two-fifths narrow, membranous; distal three-fifths sclerotized, broadened toward corpus bursae. Corpus bursae oval; accessory bursa arising from anterior margin.  Distribution   China( Guizhou, Hunan, Shaanxi, Sichuan).  Etymology The specific name is derived from the Latin rectangulus, meaning right-angled, referring to the vinculum with inner margin projecting and forming a right angle mesially.
