Known distribution:Charlottesville (Virginia, USA), in the vicinity of the University of Virginia ( Gilbert 1935). Material examined:None.
Diagnosis:Animals about 0.7–1.3 mm long. With a pair of reddish eyes. The anterior end of the body often heavily pigmented by brownish, granular pigment. Numerous zoochlorellae present. Dermal rhabdites and adenal rhabdites present. Net-like vitellaria extending from the genital pore towards the caudal body end. Malecopulatory organ of the duplex-type IA. Female genital system of the UNIPUNCTATA- type.
