Phaenocora alticola Ruebush 1939: 50–53, Fig. 1; Marcus 1946: 71–72, 80, 82, 166; Marcus & Marcus 1959: 19. Known distribution:Togarma Tso, Ko-lungpa Valley, northwest of Panggong Tso (western Tibet) at an elevation of 5217 m( Ruebush 1939).
Material examined:None.
Diagnosis:Animals 1.2–1.8 mm long, without visible eyes. Zoochlorellae numerous. Malecopulatory organ of the duplex-type IIIA. Female genital system of the AGLOBULATA- type. Burso-intestinal duct very short. Intestinal bursa extremely large. Genito-bursal duct and female genital canal present. Oviduct opening into the genito-bursal duct nearly at its midpoint. A sphincter present both at the proximal and distal end of the genito-bursal duct (Fig. 14A: sph).
