These species are quite limited in distribution ( Figs. 122, 123), and are relatively rarely collected. To date only 155 specimensare known, collected during 24 collecting localities/events. Specimens of four species have been collected from mountain rock pools (  gladiator,  megacephalus,  nitens, and  setosus).
