Abavus maculatus Lindner, 1933

Type locality: Brazil, Rio de Janeiro.

Holotype ♂ with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white paper: “ Rio [City and State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil] | X-1929 [x.1929] | T. Borgmeier [Thomas Borgmeier]”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white paper: “ Abavus maculatus | Lindner det. 32 . [1932]”; (3) handwritten on white paper: “Type | Lindner | 1932 [in vertical position]”; (4) printed on red paper: “Typus”; (5) printed on white paper: “8.128”; (6) printed on red paper: “EMBRAPA”. Condition of type: right wing damaged at the R2+3. Additional note: holotype by monotypy.
