Range: — Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia (LP, PA); Brazil.

Ecology: —Rare (3 collections known), terrestrial, in montane and lowland forests; 200 m.

Notes: —With the group of Adiantum tetraphyllum , A. cajennense and allies, and similarly scaly on the rachises and laminar tissue abaxially. Rhizomes short-creeping, nodose; blades with 2–5 pairs of lateral pinnae; pinnules imbricate, ca. 2 times longer than wide, 20–25 pairs per pinna, margins of sterile pinnules irregularly dentate; indusia with reddish brown hairs.
