Material examined. 2 ♂♂, 1 ♀, 07.V.2019, Kerman (Kerman), 38 km north ( Fig. 1 G, H View FIGURE 1 ) .
Further records. Becker & Stein (1913): between Podagi and Bazman (Sistan and Balochistan).
Taxonomic note. Krivosheina (2014) points to the resemblance between this species and the oriental species Adoxomyia heminopla ( Wiedemann, 1819) . Her key to distinguish both species (published in Russian), is translated here:
1. Spines of scutellum short, their length less than half the length of scutellum and equal to about 1/4 of the distance between them; silver pubescence of forehead triangle in male not reaching base of antennae; forehead of female with relatively sparse pale pubescence on upper half, two longitudinal stripes with two narrow pale patches of dense pubescence on lower half of forehead, separated from base of antennae by a black transverse stripe; pedicel and three basal segments of flagellum of male and female reddish........................................................................... - Spines of scutellum long, almost reaching the length of scutellum; distance between them is at least 4/5 of their length; silver pubescence of forehead triangle of male covers entire surface and reaches base of antennae; female with silvery transverse stripe in the middle part of forehead, followed by a broad black shining stripe; two large conspicuous areas of silvery hairs reaching base of antennae; antennae of males entirely black, first three segments of flagellum of female reddish.............................................................................................
