Diagnosis. Males and females of A. tricuspidata resemble these of A. pirity sp. nov. in the size and coloration pattern. The submarginal pale, undulating bands of the carapace ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 ) help to recognize well-preserved specimens of A. tricuspidata as these bands are absent in all other species of Agalenocosa . Males of A. tricuspidata differ in the broad terminal apophysis ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 d). Females have a large and oval head of spermathecae, as in A. pirity sp. nov., but can be differentiated by the position of the vulval chamber lateral to the head of spermathecae ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 b), not ventral as in A. pirity sp. nov.
Description. Male (MACN-Ar 22946). Carapace brown with a light brown median band with a conspicuous Y-shaped dark mark that extends from the fovea to the PLE and pale submarginal bands with irregular margins ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 ). Sternum yellow, sparsely covered with brown bristles, more abundant on the margins. Labium dark grey. Chelicerae lighter than labium, light brown, covered with brown bristles. Dorsum of abdomen brown with small longitudinal irregular pairs of pale marks on the center, and two pale longitudinal margins at sides ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 ). Venter pale brown with irregular darker marks. Legs pale brown with dark annulations. Leg formula IV> I> III> II.

Palp. Basal apophysis of the palpal tibia rounded, medium sized ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 c). Subtegulum in the meso-prolateral side of the alveolus ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 d). Tegulum with a deep prolateral furrow ( Figs 12 View FIGURE 12 c–e).Ventral branch of the median apophysis broad, with a semicircular distal margin, and the dorsal branch triangular, with the tip pointing to the retrolateral side ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 d). Terminal apophysis broad and retrolaterally pointed ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 d).
Female (MACN-Ar 26940). Colour in alcohol ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 ) as in male. Leg formula IV> I> III> II.
