Aleuroplatus cinnamomi Jesudasan & David, 1991: 282 .
Although synonymised with Aleuroplatus pectiniferus View in CoL by Martin (1999), this species is here considered valid. The holotype is a parasitized puparium, but the species differs from A. pectiniferus View in CoL by the presence of three pores and associated porettes on the median area of the abdominal segments I–VI ( Figs 4, 6 View FIGURES 2 – 7. A , 24, 25 View FIGURES 15 – 27 ). This pattern of pores and associated porettes was constant in the the puparium of the paratype specimen examined from IARI. In contrast, the puparia of A. pectiniferus View in CoL have only one pair of geminate pores on the median area of these segments. Also the subdorsal and submarginal tubercular processes are much longer in A. cinnamomi , and the marginal teeth are triangular whereas they are conical in A. pectiniferus View in CoL .
Material studied. India: holotype puparium, on Cinnamomum sp., Tamil Nadu, Kallar (the Nilgiris) 20.vi.1985, R.W.A. Jesudasan ( IARI, Reg. No. 109/8/8/5). One paratype puparium (parasitoid pupal case inside), data same as holotype ( IARI, Reg. No. 4/25/20).
