STATUS AT MADANG. Originally described from Madang as Parabrosmolus novaeguineae by Machida (1996: 148, figs. 1–4); record confirmed by Schwarzhans et al. (2005: 140–141). Collected by W.-J. Chen, St. PR 221, PR 231. BMNH, CAS, NTUM and USNM material.

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Southwestern Pacific and southeastern Indian Ocean: Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and northern Australia. In crevices of coralline rock in coral reefs, 5– 25 m. Marine.
