Genus Alisotrichia Flint View in CoL
This genus was placed in its own subgroup by Marshall 1979, based on larval and male genitalic characters. Presently, it contains over 30 Neotropical species, and is specially diversified in Central America. Only one species is known from Argentina, A. gabriel Angrisano 2002 (in Angrisano & Burgos 2002), described from Misiones province (Bernardo de Irigoyen). Besides the latter, the geographically nearest species is A. cacaulandia Harris & Flint 2002 , from Brazil.
