Indian records. Jammu & Kashmir— Brehm (1936), Yousuf & Qadri (1975a), Qadri & Yousuf (1977), Yousuf et al. (1984), Balkhi (1987), Parveen (1988), Siraj et al. (2006); General record— Fernando & Kanduru (1984), Raghunathan & Suresh Kumar (2003).

Remarks. Valid species described from Sweden ( Lilljeborg 1853). Oriental populations need to be revised.

Distribution. “Holarctic, mentioned also for Ethiopian region” ( Smirnov 1996), but also quite common in the Oriental zone ( Sanoamuang 1998; Maiphae et al. 2005; Tanaka & Ohtaka 2010). Oriental populations, as for A. excisa , need to be revised.
