Feronia obesa Say, 1823a: 37. Type locality: "Charity Is[land] [Arenac County], Mich[igan]" (neotype label). Neotype (♂), designated by Lindroth and Freitag (1969: 344), in MCZ [# 33030]. Note. «Harrowgate», a neighborhood in the northeast section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was the area originally cited by Say (1823a: 37).
Percosia diffinis LeConte, 1847: 359. Type locality: "ad Rocky Mountains" (original citation), cited from "Nebraska [Territory]" by LeConte (1855: 354). Five syntypes in MCZ [# 5686]. Synonymy established by Horn (1892b: 39), confirmed by Lindroth (1968: 690).
Percosia extensa Casey, 1918: 244. Type locality: "Clackamas Co[unty], Oregon" (original citation). Lectotype (♀), designated by Lindroth (1975: 131), in USNM [# 47172]. Synonymy established by Hatch (1953: 129), confirmed by Lindroth (1968: 690).

Distribution.
This species ranges from Newfoundland (Lindroth 1955a: 102) to southern Alaska (CNC), south to central California (Merced County, CAS), northern Arizona (Chen et al. 2006: 171; Apache and Coconino Counties, CMNH, CNC, UASM), northeastern Texas (Hieke 1978: 289), and northern Georgia (Fattig 1949: 28).
