Amerizus spectabilis (Mannerheim, 1852)

Trechus spectabilis Mannerheim, 1852: 298. Type locality: "insula Sitkha [= Baranof Island, Alaska]" (original citation). Lectotype (♂), designated by Lindroth (1963b: 403), in ZMH.

Amerizus longicornis Casey, 1918: 166. Type locality: "S[an]ta Cruz M[oun]t[ain]s [Santa Clara County], California" (original citation). Lectotype (♂), designated by Lindroth (1975: 122), in USNM [# 46900]. Synonymy established by Lindroth (1963b: 403).

Distribution.

The range of this species extends from the Alexander Archipelago (Mannerheim 1852: 298; Lindroth 1963b: 404) south at least to the Santa Cruz Mountains of the Coast Ranges (Casey 1918: 166, as Amerizus longicornis ) and the Sierra Nevada in California (Kavanaugh 1992: 68).
