Diagnosis: This species can be distinguished from all other species of Amputoearinus by the following characters; forewing banded from base yellow, infuscate, yellow, infuscate, foremargin infuscate throughout; projection of propleuron blunt; antenna entirely melanic.

Description: Holotype, Ψ

Body length: 6.6 (6.1–7.5)mm. Color: body yellow except melanic as follows: antenna, midtarsus, foretibia distally, midtarsus; forewing banded from base yellow, infuscate, yellow, infuscate; foremargin infuscate throughout ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 g). Head: antenna with 38 (38–39) flagellomeres. Mesosoma: scutellar sulcus lacking longitudinal carina (cf. Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6. a d); projection of propleuron blunt (cf. Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6. a f); median areola of mesosoma gradually depressed posteriorly to anteriorly with carinae laterally and posteriorly (cf. Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7. a c); propodeal sculpture reduced to small protuberance anteromedially (cf. Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 f); mesopleural suture with transverse carinae throughout its length; margin between metepimeron and metepisternum smooth, lacking transverse carinae (cf. Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7. a b); carina bordering subpronope posteriorly, extending to anterior margin of pronotum (cf. Fig. 6a View FIGURE 6. a ); length of midtibial spur 0.5mm, length of midbasitarsomere 0.7mm; midtibia with 2–3 pegs at midlength, lacking pegs apically; hind tibia with 3 pegs apically; forewing length 6.9 (5.2–7.2)mm. Metasoma: median syntergite 2+3 length 1.4mm, width 1.3mm.

Variation: female paratypes have mesopleural suture with weak and reduced carinae throughout its length.

Etymology: in honor of Katja Seltmann.
