Anapos kugleri ( Demoulin, 1973)
Afronurus kugleri ; Demoulin (1973)
Anapos kugleri ; Yanai et al. (2017)
Anapos kugleri was described from Israel ( Demoulin 1973). The species has been mentioned later from Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey (Al-Zubaidi et al. 1987; Kazanci & Braasch 1988; Koch, 1988); our finding is the first record from Iran.
Examined material: 12 larvae from Alvand village , 71 km southeast of Zanjan (N36°18’58.911”; E49°09’46.156”), 10.vi.2015, Baharshahi, A. leg. GoogleMaps
Anapos is closely related to Afronurus and Electrogena , from which it can be distinguished by the setation of setae and spines on the hind tibiae in the nymphal stage; A. kugleri have three rows of thick spines and two rows of thin hair-like setae ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 )
