Type:—[fossil leaves] Kodor (Kodori or Kwydry) river, Abkhazia (holotype, M-VII-10760, Sukhum Botanical Garden, Sukhum, Abkhazia, n.v.).

Occurrence:—Pliocene; Caucasus.

Note:—The structure of the leaf epidermis of the fossil-species is similar with that of extant Aniba species ( Schakryl 1984).
