( Figures 92 View FIGURE 92 , 103 View FIGURE 103. 77–97 )

Description. Holotype. Female. Body length 2.5 mm, fore wing length 3.0 mm.

Head. Transverse in dorsal view, nearly 2.0× as wide as long, weakly narrower than mesoscutum. Vertex between eye and posterior ocellus shiny without puncture. Temple slightly dull with shallow punctures, slightly constricted. Face 0.7× as high as wide, dull, rough with dense bumps, inner margin of eyes slightly constricted towards apex. Ocelli large, posterior tangent to anterior ocellus virtually touching posterior ocelli, distance between fore and hind ocellus not larger than diameter of hind ocellus, POL:OD:OOL=5.0:2.3:4.0. Antenna distinctly shorter than body length, closely articulated, penultimate flagellomere 1.6× longer than wide.

Mesosoma. Length:width:height = 42.0:30.0:32.0. Disc of mesonotum slightly shiny, with small and shallow punctures, impunctate on posterior margin, indistinct subrugulose-punctation at posterior end of notaulic courses. Scutellar sulcus slightly curved, narrow with carinae in between. Scutellum shiny and polished entirely. Lateral polished field of scutellum reaching over half length of scutellum. Propodeum slightly shiny, imaginary areola surrounding by much fine rugosity, elsewhere almost smooth. Mesopleuron highly polished, anterior parts with extremely shallow punctures, some fine transversal striation at the top of sternaulus.

Legs. Hind coxa slightly shiny, without punctures. Spines on outer side of third tibia scattered. Spurs of hind tibia subequal, 2/5 of hind basitarsus. Basitarsus of hind leg as long as tarsomeres 2–4 combined, claws slightly longer.

Wings. Pterostigma 3.2× as long as its widest part. Vein 1-R1 nearly 0.9× as long as pterostigma, 1.6× as long as its distance from apex of marginal cell. Vein r arising from middle of pterostigma, nearly perpendicular to it, weakly longer than width of pterostigma, 1.3× longer than 2-SR, distinctly angled at junction, 2-M half length of 2-SR, weakly shorter than 1-SR, the latter as long as 2-SR+M, m-cu as long as 2-SR. First discal cell of fore wing almost as wide as high. Second submarginal cell of hind wing longer, 1.8× wider than high. Vein cu-a abruptly strongly curved at posterior half, distinctly longer than 1-1A. Hind wing broad, length of 1-M slightly shorter than distance between its distal extremity and apex of vannal lobe, and vannal lobe beyond its widest part straight and hairless.

Metasoma. Nearly 1.1× longer than mesosoma (45.0:42.0). T1 parallel-sided, except weakly constricted at apex, 1.8× longer than hind width, concave at basal half, turned-over part dull with longitudinal striae laterally, medial channel indistinct, and apical tubercle polished. T2 shiny and smooth, 3.6× wider than long in the middle, nearly straight apically. T3 2.0× longer than T2. Tergites posterior to T2 highly polished, shiny, and pubescent. Hypopygium not longer than apex of metasoma. Ovipositor sheath 1.4× longer than length of hind tibia, narrow of even size, hairs sparse and long, ovipositor slightly curved at apex.

Colour. Black. Tegula pale yellowish. Palpi and spurs pale yellowish. Antenna and ovipositor sheath brown. Labrum and mandible dark brown. Legs dark reddish brown, except most parts of fore femur, tibia with tarsus, apical third of mid femur, tibia with tarsus, basal 2/5 of hind tibia, basal half of basitarsus yellow. Wing membrane hyaline, 1-R1, C+SC+R, border of pterostigma, r, 2-SR and 2-M light yellowish brown, other alar veins more or less colourless, pterostigma pallid.

Variation. Body length 2.3–2.5 mm, fore wing length 2.6–3.0 mm.

Male. Unknown.

Host. According to label, Anarsia lineatella Zeller.

Material examined. Holotype: 1♀, Laomancheng, Xinjiang, 1977.VIII, Ma Wenliang, No. 780960, ex Anarsia lineatella Zeller . Paratypes: 3♀♀, ditto .

Distribution. China (Xinjiang).

Etymology. The specific name “ lineatella ” derives from its host Anarsia lineatella Zeller.

Remarks. This species is similar to A. palliditegula Liu & Chen , sp. nov., but differs in the following: propodeum without two short arms apically (with two short arms apically in latter); T2 3.6× wider than long in the middle (more transverse, 4.3× in latter); and ovipositor sheath 1.4× longer than length of hind tibia (slightly shorter than length of hind tibia in latter).
