Diagnosis. Head and mesosoma entirely pale, propodeum mostly smooth with weak sculpture anteromedially.
Description. Body length 5.6. Fore wing length 4.4. Ovipositor length 4.3. Body color mostly yellow; yellow except as follows: head dark yellow to almost tan, scape and pedicel bicolored melanic and tan, apex of hind tibia and most of hind tarsus weakly melanised. 45 flagellomeres. Fore wing weakly and evenly infuscate. Propodeum mostly smooth with a weak median carina in anterior half and small shallow depressions anteromedially. Cub of hind wing barely pigmented (or not pigmented).
Etymology. Named in honor of Dr Michael Irwin, for his kind hospitality, friendship and support while I (MJS) was on sabbatical leave at the University of Arizona.
Specimens examined. Holotype ♀, Mexico, Sonora, Rancho El Cajón, 40 kms E. Alamos, Malaise on sand bench on Rio Cuchujaqui, Toxodium riparian tropical deciduous forest, 1–11.x.2006, ME Irwin, 420m., 27°03.00’N, 108°43.91’W, H11016 (HIC).
