Diagnosis. The color of the mesosoma is unique with ventral and dorsal surfaces pale and surfaces at midheight melanic; the foveae of the propodeum are weak.
Description. Body length 5.6. Fore wing length 4.5. Ovipositor length 3.7. Body color: antenna including scape melanic, body mostly yellowish orange with extensive black color on head dorsally, pronotum, mesoscutum and scutellum laterally, most of metanotum and propodeum, mesopleuron dorsally and metapleuron anterodorsally; first three metasomal terga dark orange to brown; legs mostly yellow with apex of hind tibia and most hind tarsomeres melanic. 45 flagellomeres. Fore wing weakly and evenly infuscate. Propodeum smooth in lateral 1/3 with large, shallow, smooth foveae in medial 1/3, with a weak short carina along the midline anteriorly. Cub of hind wing not (or barely) pigmented.
Etymology. Named in honor of Dr Lionel Stange, the collector of the type specimen, for his many contributions to entomology.
