Distribution. Widespread Afrotropical (including Madagascar, Mascarene Islands and Seychelles) species reaching the south of the Palaearctic Region ( Afghanistan, Iraq and Turkey); from the Indian subcontinent known so far from Bhutan, India (Andaman Islands, Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand), Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka ( AHRENS & STEBNICKA 1997; BALTHASAR 1964; BORDAT 1990; CHANDRA 1999; DELLACASA & DELLACASA 2006a; DELLA- CASA & KIRGIZ 1990; ENDRŐDI 1964; MITTAL 1981, 1999, 2000, 2005; PAULIAN 1945; SCHMIDT 1922; STEBNICKA 1981, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1992). First record for the state of Rajasthan.
