Description. Holotype ( Fig. 2a View FIGURE 2 ). Length. Pronotum plus elytron 2.90 mm. Integument uniformly covered with appressed, broad scales of bluish-green iridescent color. Article 2 of antennal funicle 1.1 X longer than article 1. Pronotum punctate-granulate, covered with green iridescent scales. Elytral intervals with distinct rows of suberect, elongate, brownish scales, clearly visible in profile ( Fig. 2c View FIGURE 2 ). Genitalia. Penis ( Fig. 2b View FIGURE 2 ). Intraspecific variation. Length. Pronotum plus elytron 2.85–3.35 mm.

Material examined. Type specimens. Holotype,male: INDONESIA,S-Sulawesi,S-Sulawesi, Gn.Lompobatang, Malakaji, Parambintolo, 1600–2130 m, 21-IX-1997; condition: fair; genitalia in glycerol in microtube; DNA extraction ARC7336 View Materials (GenBank # OR590502) ( MZB) . Paratypes: 18 exx, same data as holotype ( ARC, SMNK) .

Etymology. This epithet is based on the Latin noun geminus (twin) and refers to the close resemblance with its sibling species A. splendens Faust.

Notes. This species is very similar to A. splendens Faust but differs by the distinct rows of suberect scales on the elytral intervals and an 11.8% cox1 p-distance.
