Material examined. Two syntypes NHM UK 2013.1093-1094, HMS “Triton” Stn 10: Atlantic, Northeast (Faroe Channel); 945 m.
Supplementary description. Poltarukha & Zevina (2006a).
Distribution. Atlantic, Northeast. Known depth range 945 to 2228 m.
Remarks. The species is similar to A. atlanticum ( Gruvel, 1900) and can be confused with the latter (see Young, 1998 a, b). The differences, however, were subsequently enumerated by Young (2001a, 2002).
