TYPE DEPOSITORY: Zoological Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, Saint Petersburg, Russia. TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: northern coast of Lake Taymyr, Taymyr, Russia, lemming hill in polygonal tundra on the ridge.

NOTE: (a) this species was described in an unpublished thesis ( Lindquist, 1964a: 100), which was not produced in numerous identical and durable copies (ICZN Article 8.1.3.1). The mention of this name in Lindquist (1964b: 3895) was not accompanied by a description (ICZN Article 13.1)..
