Remarks. Originally described as a Stictophaula, Gorochov (1998) listed the species under Arnobia although the change was not explicitly marked as new combination nor discussed. This may also explain why the change was also not registered in Orthoptera Species File ( Cigliano et al., 2016). Here, we attempt to verify this nomenclature change. As in all other species of Arnobia , this species possesses a small median emargination along the posterior margin of dorsal plate of pronotum ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 A); dorsal part of female tegmen with large dark basal spot (instead of small spot) ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 B); male subgenital plate with less than 3 very short lobes along apical margin (instead of 2 to 4 lobes, with 1 pair of long lateral lobes and 1 pair of shorter median lobes) ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 C); absence of unpaired sclerites on male genitalia; all of which are diagnostic of Arnobia and differentiating features from Stictophaula ( Gorochov, 1998; Gorochov & Voltshenkova, 2009; Tan & Artchawakom, 2014).
