= Asplenium herzogii Rosenst., Meded. Rijks-Herb. 19: 12. 1913.

Range:— Scattered records in Andes from Colombia and Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, SC).

Ecology:— Rare; terrestrial in humid forests; 2500–2750 m.

Notes:— It is unclear whether A. herzogii , type from Bolivia, is conspecific with A. macrodon , type from Colombia, but they seem to be close; we apply the older name pending further study.
