Barsura simplicifascia View in CoL species-group
The male genitalia of the species-group are characterized in the medially broader valva with a broad trigonal distal costal process with an arcuated dorsal margin (whereas in the B. nubifascia species-group the distal costal process is narrow and trapezoidal), presence of a short trigonal ampulla with a broad base in the medial part of costa (in the B. nubifascia species-group only B. contrastata sp. nov. has an ampulla, but it is pimple-like), the relatively small cornuti in the apical field (whereas in the B. nubifascia species-group the upper cornuti are large), the cornuti in the lateral field having about the same size (whereas in the B. nubifascia species-group the cornuti have different size), and presence of an additional apico-lateral diverticulum with a field of short spine-like cornuti; in the female genitalia, the antevaginal plate is narrow, weakly sclerotized, not wrinkly, whereas in the B. nubifascia speciesgroup the antevaginal plate is large, wrinkly sclerotized, with deep round concave near its conjunction with ostium bursae.
