Atoposmia (Atoposmia) anthodyta (Michener, 1943) View in CoL *

[ Holotype: CASC; ♀ Lone Pine Canyon , Inyo Co., California, USA; June 11, 1937]

This species occurs in the western USA and northwestern Mexico and specializes on pollen from Penstemon Schmidel ( Fowler 2020) . Hurd & Michener (1955) suggested that the distributional range of this species included BC; however, they didn’t review material from BC. The BBPT collected one female in Sierra San Pedro Mártir in May 2022 (MABC), which confirms the prediction by Hurd & Michener (1955). See fig. 245.
