Aureliania aureliani, Fain 1962a: 9, 1985a: 146 ; Domrow 1975: 18, 1991: 1289. Neoboydaia (Aureliania) aureliani, Fain 1963a: 181, 1963d: 52 ; Domrow 1969: 389. Type-host: Tyto alba affinis Blyth ( Strigiformes View in CoL : Tytonidae View in CoL ) from Rwanda.
Diagnosis. Palp tarsus with 3 setae (2 setae Na-type and 1 seta Ec-type) and solenidion. Hypostome with 2 pairs of setae (Ec-type). Setae vi situated posterior to level of si. Dorsal and ventral idiosomal setae (including coxae) Ectype, except sensillae si (SC-type).
Host and distribution. Strigiformes (Tytonidae) : TytO alba affinis Blyth from Rwanda [Southern Prov., Butare (= Astrida ) and Akanyaru] ( Fain 1956b).
Non-African host and distribution. Tytonidae : TytO alba alba (Scopoli) from Belgium ( Fain 1963a) and Australia ( Domrow 1991).
