Type. China, Holotype male ( ZMKA).
Diagnosis. Small sized; derm testaceous /; rostrum of male slightly less than half the body length, almost straight, female 2 3 of body length abruptly curved towards apex; disc of pronotum evenly clothed with narrow, elongate, white scales; elytra with broad fascia of narrow, elongate, white scales past midpoint; scutellum longer than broad, scutate, clothed with white scales; all femora armed with small tooth; sternite 1 longer than 2 behind coxal cavity; sternites clothed with narrow, elongate, white scales. Genitalia: Median lobe of aedeagus 0.8 mm in length, 0.21 mm in width, margins evenly broad from base to sharply angled apex to rounded terminal, rather thick in lateral view, with apex abruptly deflected down ( Figs. 39–41 View Figs ); apodeme 0.9 mm in length.
Distribution. China: Hebei Province, Xiaowutaishan; Yunnan Province, Weixi.
Remarks. This species closely resembles Curculio cerasorum (Herbst) and
Curculio rubidus (Gyllenhal) , but in C. cerasorum the profemur is unarmed and
C. rubidus all femora are unarmed.
