Comments: Thomas & Yonke (1981) listed the distribution of this species as “southeastern Canada through eastern U.S. and Mexico south to Guatemala.” This species was also recorded from Alabama, California, and Minnesota in an unpublished thesis ( Simons 1969). The records from the western U.S. (e.g., Arizona [ Uhler 1876] and the thesis record from California [ Simons 1969]) need verification. Maw et al. (2000) only tentatively listed this species from British Columbia.
