Barydesmus broelemanni ( Attems, 1914) View in CoL new combination
Platyrrhacus mexicanus (nec P. mexicanus Lucas, 1840 ): Attems 1899: 348, Fig. 314 (preoccupied name; description). Platyrhacus brölemanni Attems, 1914: 250 , 255 (new name; in dichotomous key).
Platyrhacus (Tirodesmus) brölemanni: Attems 1938: 233 , Fig. 255 (combination; description; in dichotomous key). Platyrhacus broelemanni: Jeekel 1963: 89 View in CoL (name correction).
Types: ♂ ♀ syntypes from unknown origin. The material originally revised by Attems (1899) is deposited at the ZMB, where there are two jars labeled as Platyrrachus mexicanus (J. A. Dunlop, pers. comm.). One of them, cat. no. ZMB 1451 View Materials , has two specimens with no locality and are likely the types of P. broelemanni View in CoL . The other, cat. no . ZMB 5173 View Materials , also contains two specimens collected in Santa Inez in Ecuador by Richard Haensch in 1899 and probably were incorporated to the collection after Attems revised the material for his System der Polydesmiden ( Attems 1899).
Distribution: unknown.
No known copyright restrictions apply. See Agosti, D., Egloff, W., 2009. Taxonomic information exchange and copyright: the Plazi approach. BMC Research Notes 2009, 2:53 for further explanation.
