Type locality. Peru, La Libertad, Huamachuco.

Examined material. 1 PT ♀ (CSt at MSNM).

Note. The HT ♂ deposited in the Maindron-Babault Collection at MNHNP was not found. A drawing of the aedeagus is given by Straneo (1993), but it does not allow us to make a hypothesis on its relationship with other species.

Distribution. Blennidus sublaevis is the only species recorded so far from Dept. La Libertad (north-central Peru).
