TYPE LOCALITY: “ in toto agri parmensi [all the Parmese territory ( Italy)]”.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, lectotype (missing right hind-leg) ( MZUF. Box 14): Brachicoma Rnd. / devia Fall. , ♂ / 695 / lectotype ♂ Brachicoma adolescens Rnd., T. Pape det., 1986 / Brachicoma devia (Fll.) , T. Pape det., 1986.

PARALECTOTYPES EXAMINED: 1 ♀, paralectotype (mis-sexed as a male) ( MZUF: Box 14): Brachicoma Rnd. / devia Fall. , ♂ [sic!] / 695 / paralectotype; 4 ♀♀, paralectotypes (one missing left fore-, left mid-, right mid-legs and right hind-tarsi; one missing right fore-leg; one missing left mid-leg) ( MZUF: Box 14): Brachicoma Rnd. / devia Fall. , ♀ / 695 / paralectotype.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Brachicoma devia ( Fallén, 1820) View in CoL ( Verves 1986: 114, Pape 1988: 5, 1996: 162).

REMARKS: Rondani (1859b: 204) described Brachicoma adolescens without specifying the number, the sex or the length of the specimens. Pape (1988: 4) designated a lectotype (♂) and paralectotypes (1 ♀ mis-sexed as a male, 4 ♀♀).
