Mawlamyine District: Parish 193a (drawing in K) , fide Seidenfaden (1979: 133); same loc., Parkinson 5189 ( K) , fide Seidenfaden (1979: 133).
Distribution:—? Myanmar, Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia.
Notes:— All specimens above largely match B. cupreum but differ in minor details. Bulbophyllum cupreum belongs to a large group of similar species that are most diverse in northeastern India, Myanmar and Thailand. Despite of the work of Seidenfaden (1979), we have no clear understanding of the taxa and range of variation, and it is possible that too many species are currently recognised. For B. cupreum subsp. stenopetalum C.S.P.Parish & Rchb. f., see the end of the Bulbophyllum list.
