Note: Boissier (1859: 106) cited a single collection in the protologue (“ Hab. in rupibus maritimis Algarbiae propè Lagos in Lusitaniâ Bourgeau pl. exs. 1853 sub № 2080. ”). Burdet et al. (1983) recorded two sheets for this collection number at G and designated as lectotype sheet 1. The two sheets can be examined at JSTOR Global Plants; they are unnumbered and are displayed as part of the same specimen, the second sheet lacking a barcode.
