Les ouvrieres ayant la tete sans bord posterieur et terminee en col, l'espece doit etre detachee du maculatus HNS et faire partie du sous-genre Dinomyrmex HNS .

Ile de Zanzirar: grotte d'Haitajwa (st. n° 75, avril 1912), [[worker]]. Distribution geographique. - Delagoa, Natal, Transvaal.
