Diagnosis. Readily recognized by its noticeably tiny size (most individuals less than 2.0 mm in total length: Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 E); narrow head ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 ); simple form of the endosoma ( Fig. 10−11 View FIGURE 10 View FIGURE 11 ); and comparatively large, rounded female sclerotized rings that are relatively contiguous to each other ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 ). The tiny size and unique form of the genitalia enable to distinguish this new species from other related congeners.
Description. Body generally pale green, elongate ovoid, tiny, usually less than 2.0 mm in total length; dorsal surface shining, with rather densely distributed, simple, brown, semierect setae. Head narrow, 0.5 mm in width across eyes. Antenna pale brown, not much sexually dimorphic in coloration and thickness; segment II with a narrow, obscure ring at base. Labium pale brown, short, not much exceeding apex of mesocoxa; apical half of segment IV shiny brown. Hemelytron somewhat semitransparent, or tinged with white; membrane pale grayish brown. Ventral dark spots on metafemur small. Male genitalia ( Figs. 10−11 View FIGURE 10 View FIGURE 11 ): Endosoma weakly sigmoid, tapered apically, with a sclerotized edge broadened subapically. Female genitalia ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 ): Bursa copulatrix narrow; sclerotized rings comparatively large, rounded, rather contiguous to each other.
Measurements (♂/♀): Total body length 1.8−1.9/ 1.9−2.1; length from apex of clypeus to cuneal fracture 1.19−1.28/ 1.29−1.33; width of head across eyes 0.50−0.51/ 0.49−0.51; width of vertex 0.23−0.24/ 0.24−0.26; lengths of antennal segments I-IV 0.10−0.12, 0.40−0.46, 0.24−0.27, 0.19−0.22/ 0.11−0.13, 0.40−0.42, 0.24−0.30, 0.22−0.24; mesal length of pronotum 0.26−0.29/ 0.27−0.29; basal width of pronotum 0.70−0.72/ 0.68−0.72; maximum width across hemelytron 0.81−0.84/ 0.84−0.87; and lengths of metafemur, tibia and tarsus 0.60−0.64, 0.85−0.87, 0.25−0.27/ 0.61−0.63, 0.84−0.92, 0.26−0.30.
Etymology. From Greek, nannos (= dwarf), referring to the tiny size of this new species.
Biology. This new species was found from Leucaena sp. ( Fabaceae ), together with C. lividicornis . Collection records suggest that this phyline has at least two generations per year.
Holotype ♂, THAILAND: Phranakhon-Sri-Ayutthaya: Huntra, RMUTSB Campus, 14˚22'N, 100˚36'E, flowers of Leucaena sp., 24 Oct 2008, T. Yasunaga, K. Yamada ( AMNH _PBI 00379886) ( DOA).
