Description of Cellvibrio fibrivorans View in CoL 19SA03-N-12

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and short rod-shaped. Colonies are low-convex, circular, and pale-yellow colored after three days of incubation at 25°C on NA. Positive for nitrate reduction, esculin hydrolysis, gelatin hydrolysis, and β -galactosidase in API 20NE, but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, and urease activities. D-Glucose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, and trisodium citrate are utilized. Does not utilize L-arabinose, N -acetyl-glucosamine, capric acid, adipic acid, and phenylacetic acid. Strain 19SA03-N-12 displays the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with Cellvibrio fibrivorans R-4079 T (99.0%). Strain 19SA03-N-12 (= NNIBR2019643BA2) was isolated from a freshwater sample of Nakdong River. The GenBank accession number of 16S rRNA gene sequence is MN540796.
