Diagnosis
Body length 2.3 mm, yellow-brown ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (a)); eyes 2.1 × longer than temple in dorsal view; temple a little constricted behind eyes in dorsal view; distance between fore and hind ocellus distinctly shorter than minor axis of hind ocellus, POL:OD:OOL = 1.0:1.2:2.3 ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (b)); face 1.5 × wider than high; clypeus 1.6 × wider than medial length, nearly glabrous ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (c)). Antenna 1.1 × longer than body, with penultimate and ultimate flagellomeres 3.5 and 3.2 × longer than wide, 1 st 0.9 length of 2 nd, flagellomeres gradually shortened to apex ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (d)); notauli obvious, crenulated to anterior 1/2, areas behind tegula distinct, raised as a carina; scutellar sulcus straight, broadly crenulated, concave beyond the dark line ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (e)); hind depressions of scutellum large and oblong, interspace 0.6 of minor axis of the depression ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (g)); propodeum with distinct median carinae just reaching costulae, anterior part uneven with a few short rugae at sides ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (h)); vein 1-R1 absent, instead with extended apex of pterostigma; vein r indistinct ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (i)); T1 slightly uneven medially, 3.6 × longer than its maximum width; T2 2.5 × wider than median length; T3 2.1 × longer than T2, longitudinally indistinctly striate ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (k)).
Description
Male. Body length 2.3 mm, Fore wing length 2.4 mm ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (a)).
Head. 1.8 × as wide as long, 1.2 × wider than mesoscutum in dorsal view. Eyes 2.1 × longer than temple in dorsal view. Temple smooth, impunctate, except minute setose punctures and shiny, a little constricted behind eyes in dorsal view ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (b)). Ocelli large, distance between fore and hind ocellus distinctly shorter than minor axis of a hind ocellus, POL:OD:OOL = 1.0:1.2:2.3. Frons flat and polished. Vertex between eye and hind ocellus shiny and smooth and more pubescent. Face ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (c)) indistinctly punctate laterally, indistinctly convex medially, more transverse, 1.5 × wider than high. Clypeus 1.6 × wider than medial length, nearly glabrous. Length of malar space 1.6 × of basal width of mandible. Antenna ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (d)) 1.1 × longer than body, with scape, pedicel and 1 st, 2 nd, penultimate and ultimate flagellomeres 1.5, 1.5, 5.3, 5.4, 3.5 and 3.2 × longer than wide, 1 st 0.9 length of 2 nd, flagellomeres following 4 th gradually shortened to apex.
Mesosoma. Length:width:height = 1.5:1.3:1.0. Mesonotum ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (e, f)) shiny with very sparse, superficial punctures anteriorly, becoming indistinct to polished at posterior half, notauli obvious, crenulated closing to anterior 1/2, areas behind tegula distinct raised as a carina. Scutellar sulcus straight, broadly concave and crenulated beyond the dark line. Scutellum ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (g)) shiny with fine setose punctures anteriorly, largely glabrous medio-posteriorly, hind depressions large and oblong, interspace 0.6 of minor axis of the depression. Propodeum ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (h)) shiny, with distinct median carinae just reaching costulae, anterior part uneven with a few short rugae at sides, posterior parts polished, anterior part 2.3 × longer than middle length of metanotum. Mesopleuron highly polished, impunctate.
Legs. Hind femur ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (j)) 3.9 × as long as its widest part. Length of hind femur:tibia: basitarsus = 1.7:2.5:1.0. Basitarsus of hind leg 0.9 × as long as tarsomeres 2–5.
Wings. Fore wing: pterostigma, 2.3 × as long as its widest part ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (i)); vein 1-R1 absent, instead with extended apex of pterostigma; vein r:2-SR:2-M = 1.0:9.7:3.2, 1-SR:1- M = 1.0:3.5, 1-CU1:2-CU1 = 1.0:1.6; first discal cell of fore wing less than 1.2 × wider than high. Hind wing: vein M+ CU:1-M:r-m = 2.1:2.3:1.0.
Metasoma. As long as mesosoma. T1 ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (k)) smooth, slightly uneven medially, spatula-shaped, 3.6 × longer than its subapical maximum width, distinctly narrowed anterio-medially. T2 wide, 2.5 × wider than median length. T3 2.1 × longer than T2, longitudinally indistinctly striate. Hypopygium not longer than apex of metasoma.
Colour. Yellow-brown, except sides of scutellum, propodeum and T2 darker brown ( Figure 6 View Figure 6 (a)). Palpi and spurs pale yellow. Antenna (except scape and pedicel yellow-brown) brown. Legs pale yellow to slightly yellow-brown at apex. Wing membranes hyaline, pterostigma, vein r, 2-SR, 1-SR, 1-M and 1-CU1 darker brown, other veins light brown.

Holotype. 1♂, Malaysia, Borneo, Sarawak, Gunung Mulu, JD Holloway, 1 April 1978, No. NHMUK101639265 About NHMUK .
Distribution
MALAYSIA: Borneo: Sarawak.
Etymology
The specific name ‘ scapularis ’ derives from Latin, referring to the distinct raised area behind tegula.
Remarks
This species is similar to C. yamu Ranjith and Priyadarsanan, 2023 , but differs in the following characters: vein r indistinct, only 1/10 of 2-SR (vein r distinct, 0.3 of 2-SR in C. yamu ); vein 1-R1 absent (present in C. yamu ); and hind depressions of scutellum separated by 0.6 of its minor axis (separated by a carina in C. yamu ).
