Habitat. 4 specimens were collected under stones on a sandy beach.
Locality. Berkoukech beach, Tabarka (36° 57' 10.04'' N; 08° 45' 43.99'' E).
Localities in Tunisia from bibliography. No records
Remark. Cercyra hastata is one of the preferred preys of the polyclad Prosthiostomum siphunculus (see Gammoudi et al. 2012a). The polyclad was observed to attack the triclad with its tubular pharynx.
Other localities in the world. Turkey ( Ax 1959); France ( Du Plessis 1907); Spanish Mediterranean coasts; Italian coasts; Atlantic Cantabrian coasts ( Vila-Farre et al. 2009); Black sea ( Sluys 1989) ; Ukraine ( Murina, 1981).
