Morphological description. External morphology. Body pigmentation brown-gray in live specimens (Šapkarev dark brown). Brown-beige homogeneous color in fixed specimens. Length 115–128 mm (Šapkarev 125– 132), diameter 6–6.5 mm. Number of segments 257–304 (Šapkarev 268–322). Prostomium epilobous. Longitudinal furrows in first two segments. First dorsal pore at the intersegmental groove 10/11–11/12. The male aperture in segment 15 on elevated glandular papillae extending over 15 and 16. Female pores inconspicuous. The Setae closely paired, with intersetal ratio aa>bc, ab=cd, bc=ab, dd>1/2u. Glandular papillae surround setae ab on segments 16, 17, 47 or 49 to 55. Clitellum saddle-shaped in segments 39, 40–51, 52 (Šapkarev 39, 40–53). Tubercula pubertatis in segments 44, 45–51, 52 (Šapkarev 44, 45–51, 52).

Internal anatomy. Septa 5/6–11/12 thickened and muscular. Hearts in segments from 6–11. Calciferous glands in segment 10. Crop in segments 15–16, gizzard in segment 17–19. The typhlosole is trifid. The testes are in 10 and 11, and the ovaries in 13. Four pairs of seminal vesicles in 9 to 12 (the two posterior pairs considerably greater). Two pairs of spermatheca spherical and white, with short ducts in segments 10 and 11. Nephridial bladders U-shaped (reclinate), the curved (glandular) part is oriented towards the anterior part of the body.

Distribution and ecology. Cernosvitovia serbica is known from the Balkan Peninsula, only in Serbia. This species has been found in meadows, pastures, river banks and oak forests. It belongs to the anecic species.

Remarks. Cernosvitovia serbica was found and described in detail by Šapkarev (1977) and our studied specimens agree entirely with his description. C. serbica can be distinguished from the similar Balkanic endemic C. paratuleskovi , Allolobophora (s. l.) kosowensis and Allolobophora (s. l.) tuleskovi by the position of the clitellum, tubercula pubertatis and the position and number of seminal vesicles ( Table 4 View TABLE 4 ).
